About the Role

Join our AI team as a Data Scientist and drive data-driven innovation in the insurance claims industry. You'll uncover insights from complex datasets, build predictive models, and help shape strategic decisions that transform how insurance claims are processed and understood.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze large-scale insurance claims data to identify patterns, trends, and opportunities
  • Build predictive models for claim fraud detection, cost estimation, and processing optimization
  • Design and conduct A/B tests to measure the impact of AI features
  • Create compelling data visualizations and dashboards for stakeholders
  • Collaborate with ML engineers to operationalize data science solutions
  • Develop metrics and KPIs to measure platform performance and business impact
  • Research and apply advanced statistical methods to solve complex business problems
  • Partner with product teams to translate insights into actionable recommendations

Requirements

  • Technical Skills:

    • Expert proficiency in Python and data science libraries (Pandas, NumPy, Scikit-learn)
    • Strong SQL skills and experience with big data tools (Spark, Hadoop)
    • Proficiency in statistical analysis and machine learning algorithms
    • Experience with data visualization tools (Matplotlib, Seaborn, Tableau, or similar)
    • Knowledge of experimental design and causal inference
    • Familiarity with cloud platforms and their data services (AWS, GCP, Azure)
  • Experience:

    • 3+ years of data science experience in a business environment
    • Proven track record of delivering actionable insights from complex data
    • Experience with time series analysis and forecasting
    • Background in insurance, fintech, or related domains (preferred)
    • Experience working with unstructured data and NLP techniques (advantageous)
  • Soft Skills:

    • Excellent communication skills to present findings to non-technical stakeholders
    • Strong business acumen and ability to connect data insights to business value
    • Curiosity and passion for solving complex problems
    • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects
  • Education:

    • Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or related field
    • Master's or PhD in a quantitative field (preferred but not required)
